This was an idea that grew. Usually all an artist ( or designer) only needs an inspiration to take and idea, run with it. To make it their own.....or your own.

A "Tuscan" style kitchen leads with an "Old Italy" or wine country feeling. I choose custom color concrete tops to compliment  the original oil painting done by a local artist on canvas and then applied to the wall. Granite would have competed with the painting. Solid Surface would feel foreign to the rich hearty,heavy feel of this design. A honed quartz product could work, but often those products are limited in specific colors.

The blending of worn looking and aged paint with rich warm wood tones on pine was the perfect combination.The baskets also lend to the feeling of hertitage and old world, as does the inset of the drawers.

The small shelves are glass with a wood edging to allow the lighting to flow through. The heavy crown balances heavy turnings and the concrete tops.
